A 10-hour whole day direct teaching workshop on PORTRAIT and FASHION photography studio lighting techniques on models portfolio.
This is a hands-on workshop and visualization designed for photographers and artists, hobbyists, amateurs and advance amateurs
Participants must know the basic of camera operations before taking this workshop, however some practical functions of the camera will be practised during the workshop.

What to expect to experience and learn in the workshop:
8-10AM: Camera Operations
- Understanding Menus in your camera
- Handling - Proper Shooting Technique - Framing, Composition, etc
- Understanding Lights / Operations ( Strobe, Continuous, and Natural ) and Metering
- Application of lighting patterns ( Rembrandt, Butterfly, Split, Loop, High Key, and combinations )
- Lighting ratio applications and how to use the light meter properly
- The light modifiers e.g. umbrella, softbox, etc.
- Purpose of Models Shoot in Relation to Magazine and Advertising Layout
- The intellectual property rights and the model release applications in photo shoot
- How to properly charge your clients. Learning some business ethics
10 AM - 1PM : Actual Model Portfolio Shoot in the studio using studio lights
- Featuring 6 professional female models, the participants will be divided into 2 teams then proceed with the actual models shoot.
- All participants will get to compose and shoot their own frames using a strobe while the rest from the group will use continuous lights
1PM - 2PM - Lunch Break
2PM - 6PM - Actual Models Photo Shoot incorporating Gobo and Continuous Lights
- Photo op with the models and the production team
- The participants will give 2 best shots per clothes change of the models. The photos will be given to the facilitator for critiquing and for quick retouching techniques/ demo
- Awarding of Certificates
Workshop Fee is Php 3,000 inclusive of lunch, Certificate of Participation and MUSE Magazine.
All participants must bring a digital camera (Point-and-Shoot or DSLR) with enough CF or SD cards.
Optional (only if you have) : Light meter , Tripod, Laptop and Flash.
(Note: All past participants of the next models photoworkshop who have attended at least 3 batches may enroll at 50% off. Only two will be allowed and this is a first pay first served basis) All PCP (Photographers Club Philippines) Members with good and active standing gets 10% discount.
Recommended lenses to be used: 50mm, 80mm, 120mm, 15mm or 10mm (for conceptual shoot) or any kits lens. Zoom lenses are allowed

- Featuring 6 professional female models, the participants will be divided into 2 teams then proceed with the actual models shoot.
- All participants will get to compose and shoot their own frames using a strobe while the rest from the group will use continuous lights
1PM - 2PM - Lunch Break
2PM - 4PM - Actual Outdoor Photo Shoot in the Street (option)
- Photo op with the models and the production team
- The participants will give 2 best shots per clothes change of the models. The photos will be given to the facilitator for critiquing and for quick retouching techniques
4PM - 6PM - Photoshop Retouching and Image Enhancing Techniques
(All participants may bring their own laptop with photoshop installed software)
- Awarding of Certificates

About the facilitator
Rossano Capili is a Painter, Photographer, Digital Artist,
Digital Printmaker, Art Writer and Art Educator.
Studied Fine Arts Major in Advertising at PWU in 1981
; Drafting Technology / Art Education and Ceramics
Technology at PCAT in 1976 ; Color Separation
Technique in 1987 Melbourne Australia
As a photographer, Capili specializes in Conceptual
Landscapes, Fashion Glamour, the Fine Art Nude, Body
Painting and Advertising Art Commissions. He was Official
Photographer of the 2005-2006 Mutya ng Pilipinas
and The Miss Bikini Philippines 2008.
As an educator, Capili’s teaching methods bridge both analog
and digital disciplines. Hands-on artmaking coupled with his
artistic vision is central to all his photoworkshops, which
he has conducted at local and international venues.
To date, Capili has successfully mounted 34 one-man shows
in Manila, as well as one in Paris, France. His
participation in 35 selected group exhibitions includes a
stint as curator and project director at the recent and
highly successful 8th Filipino American Arts Exposition in
San Franciso and New York, USA, which showcased the works of
25 established Manila-based Filipino artists.
A consistent prize winner from his student days, Capili has
accumulated more than 55 awards and distinctions since his
first photography prize in 1977. His most recent achievement
was the ANVIL Award for Best Art Calendar 2008 for Pilipinas Shell,
The PATA Gold Award 2008 for Travel Photo Journalism and
Photoworld Manila 2005 Models Portfolio Competition,
where he won two of the five top awards and The Pamana ng Lahi
Awards in San Francisco California given to Filipino Global Artist
Capili was Art Production Director for the Philippine
Airlines Advertising Department, handling US, Europe and
Middle East accounts for 16 years. Today, he is President
and Creative Director of OneWorkshop, Inc., and sits as a
member of the Executive Council of the National
Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA - Office of The President)
Visual Arts Committee.
