Free Seminar on Color Management Seminar 101
July 12, 2008 (Saturday)
10:00am to 11:30am
Presenter: Mr. Tom Uhing – Color Graphics Specialist
Target Audience: Photographers, Digital Artists, Color Separators, Prepress Specialists, Creative Directors, Art and Advertising Agency Production Supervisors, and all sorts of Print Producers, etc.
Note: This seminar is for you, if you are dissatisfied with the color match between your originals and final output.
Description:
Increasingly, over the last 10 to 15 years, creative control has been taken from color–separation and service shops and given to photographers, designers, and layout artists, now working very efficiently on their powerful desktop (and even laptop!) computers.
Much confusion has resulted from a lack of understanding the need for calibration and profiling of all devices used in standard applications in viewing and output of color graphics. Both the printing presses and photographers, creative agencies and artists in between, need to have knowledge of color calibration and profiling to avoid many issues of dissatisfaction and confusion.
The presenter has worked in the graphics industry for many years, and has experience in solving many of the problems of coordination and matching color between printers and print buyers (and all those in between), since the advent of color management. Clear guidelines will be given on solving problems of color matching from cameras, scanners, to monitors, to output to proofs by cutting–edge color profiling tools now available. And a few tips on preserving the original richness of digital photo originals, by achieving larger color spaces in printing, whether for display or publications.
This is an introductory presentation on the concept, not a training. If you require a more in-depth look at our color profiling solutions, you may schedule a one-on-one training* with our Training Representative.
