Mindoro, which is divided into Occidental and Oriental, is endowed with untouched and lush forests, pristine white sand beaches, popular dive spots, and an island that is just rich with marine life, including the famous wild tamaraws. The Oriental part of the province is most popular for the town of Puerto Galera. Real, located in the Southern Tagalog region, is a small yet relatively unspoiled town. Despite having a few and modest tourist resorts, it has been a destination of choice because of also being the shortest route from Manila to the Pacific Ocean Coastline. Baluti Island, which is a mere 15-minute banca ride away from the mainland, has clear waters that are ideal for swimming and for fishing.
