Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro

A Y-shaped peninsula in Mindoro, Galera is known for its white sand beaches and prime dive spots. With its tropical climate and beach resorts, the town of Puerto Galera has been the destination of choice among the young, wherein they consider the place as a nearby (and cheaper!) Boracay. Sabang Beach, Small La Laguna Beach, Big La Laguna Beach, Coral Cove Beach, and Coco Beach are popular for being the best snorkeling and diving spots. White Beach has always been the most popular destination in Galera, together with Sabang, which is where the nightlife is.

One of the dream destinations in the country, Palawan is home to the finest and world-class beach resorts in the Philippines. More commonly known as the “Last Frontier,” the untouched natural scene of Palawan is what makes people keep on coming back. Its natural scenery, beautiful offshore islands, and the number of dive spots are just a few of the province’s gems. Make sure to add to your itinerary the islands of Honda Bay, Puerto Princesa Bay, El Nido, Bacuit Archipelago Islands, Coron, and Busuanga.

Pagbilao Island, Quezon

Mainly visited for its natural and historial attractions, the province of Quezon has been a popular destination for the locals. Lucban, the province’s capital city, is most famous for its longganisa (which most definitely rivals the popularity of Pampanga’s) and the colorful and much-awaited annual Pahiyas Festival. The province is home to Mount Banahaw, a dormant volcano (with waterfalls, caves, and streams) that is believed to have healing powers. The province boasts of several white sand beaches, such as those in the Pagbilao Island, Puting Buhangin Beach, Coccoc Island, Binobombonan Island, and Ikulong Island.

White Beach, Batanes

These group of islands, often referred to as the Home of the Winds, are located at the northernmost part of the country, scattered around the north of Luzon. Basco, its capital, is considered the smallest in the country, both in terms of land area and population. The landscape of Batanes has likened the province to foreign countries, such as New Zealand. The island of Batan, the biggest of the group, has a couple of white sand beaches. Batanes is also host to Chadpidan Beach and White Beach, both of which are ideal swimming spots.

One of the provinces in the Southern Tagalog region, Batangas has always been popular for being the birthplace and home of some of the country’s notables. However, other than being famous for serving as a gateway to the industrial area and being a major producer of coffee, Batangas is known for its beaches and dive sites. Recently, the city of San Juan has been a popular destination of beach enthusiasts, with resorts such as La Luz, Kabayan, and Palm Beach.
