Banaue Rice Terraces



Fondly referred to as the stairway to heaven and the Eighth Wonder of the World, these man-made terraces have been one of Northern Luzon’s most famous sights, most especially having been created around 2,000 years ago by the Ifugaos, and originally built as a complex irrigation system.

Hundred Islands National Park



123 to be exact. But some of these “islands” are just islets, or more like large rock formations. Three of these islands are noteworthy: Quezon Island, Governor’s Island, and Children’s Island. Not that you have to confine yourselves to these three. Go ahead and actually rent an island, which you can have all to yourself.

Siargao



There is not one surfer who does not know about Siargao, a teardrop-shaped island in Surigao. With waves that rise from 9 up to 12 feet high and untouched beaches, the island has been a frequent destination of local and foreign surfers. It used to be one of the country’s best-kept gems, but is now famous for its beautiful beaches and regarded as a surfing paradise.

Tubbataha Reef Marine Park



Honored by UNESCO in the early 90’s for being the Philippines’ first natural site, Tubbataha is marveled not only for its beauty but for its value as well. Any serious diver considers Tubbataha as paradise, because of its spectacular reef and it is home to a number of rare fish.
