Isabela



The province of Isabela is located in the region of Cagayan Valley. It is the largest province in Luzon and is the second largest in the country. Isabela relies heavily on agriculture, with farming already being highly mechanized. Due to its location, the province has been the center of trade, commerce, and other economic activities.

La Union is part of the region of Ilocos. San Fernando, the province's capital, is also the administrative, educational, and financial center of the region. The San Fernando Port has become an increasingly active shipping point. The economy has been diversified with industries such as service, manufacturing, and agricultural. The beaches of Bauang have become a popular vacation spot for local and foreign tourists, for snorkeling, surfing, swimming, and other water sports.

Lucban Quezon

Lucban, which is subdivided into 32 barangays, has been popular for their Pahiyas Festival, celebrated on the 15th of May. This festival, which honors their patron Saint Isidore the Farmer, showcases houses that are colorfully designed with fruits, vegetables, and a rice-made decor called kiping.

Manila

Manila is the country's capital, located by the Manila Bay, and part of a much bigger metropolis. The city is the second most populous in the country, next to Quezon City. Manila is still a significant historial, cultural, and economic center, though there are certain obstacles such as overpopulation, traffic congestion, pollution, and crime. The city is famous for Rizal Park or Luneta, the Chinese and Japanese Gardens, the National Library, the Quirino Grandstand, and Baywalk, to name a few.

Makati is one of the most important cities in the country, regarded as the Financial Capital of the Philippines. The city is home to the Makati Business Club and the Philippine Stock Exchange; offices and headquarters of a number of companies; first-class shopping malls such as the Ayala Center and Power Plant Mall; five-star hotels such as The Peninsula Manila, Hotel Intercontinental Manila, and Shangri-La Makati Hotel; upscale villages such as Dasmariñas Village and Forbes Park; and notable schools such as the Asian Institute of Management, Ateneo Professional Schools, Assumptions College, and Colegio San Agustin.

Marinduque

An island province with an almost circular shape, Marinduque is part of the MIMAROPA region in Luzon, and is the thirteenth largest island in the country. They rely primarily on agriculture, with rice and coconuts as their major products, with fishing playing a major role as well. The province is famous for their annual Moriones Festival, which is held during the month of April.

Mindoro

The seventh largest island in the country, Mindoro is divided into two provinces: Occidental Mindoro and Oriental Mindoro. Agriculture is their chief industry, with products such as fruits, rice, corn, and sugarcane. Fish, livestock, and poultry are also major products of the province. Mindoro has been a popular destination of tourists, with spots such as Apo Reef National Park, Lubang Island, Puerto Galera, Sabang Beach, and Mount Halcon.

Palawan

In terms of land area, Palawan is considered as the largest province in the country. Its islands stretch from Mindoro to Borneo, and lies between the South China Sea and Sulu Sea. Because of its location, the province is actually a melting pot of more than 80 different cultural groups and races. Palawan has been most popular for its wonderful beaches, and is home to two World Heritage Sites: the Tubbataha Reef National Marine Park and the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park.

The province of Pampanga, with its capital San Fernando City, is part of the region of Central Luzon. The province is regarded as one of the oldest in the region and is distinctively known as the Culinary Center of the Philippines. The two main industries of Pampanga include farming and fishing, with major products such as rice, corn, sugarcane, and tilapia. Pampanga also specializes in wood carvings, furniture making, guitars, and handicrafts

Pangasinan, which is officially known as the Province of Pangasinan, is most famous for the Hundred Islands National Park. Composed of more than 100 islands, the marine park is located off the coast of Alaminos. The province is also remarkable for being the birthplace of former President Fidel Ramos and former Speaker Jose De Venecia, Jr. A major producer of rice, mangoes, and bamboo crafts, Pangasinan is also known as the rice granary of the country.
