Koh Hong in Krabi, Thailand is one of the most beautiful island in Krabi. Koh Hong's name comes from the Thai word "Hong" which translates as "room". In the middle of this beautiful island there lies a hidden lagoon or room inside the lagoon, the tranquility & beauty is breath-taking. Koh Hong is a popular spot for local fishermen and is also one place where bird nests are collected.
i thought the waters looked lovely.

Porteau Cove, BC, CANADA75 viewsWhen "Porteau" (porte d’eau) is translated from
French into English it means "Water’s Gate".
The Porteau Cove Provincial Park is located on the most southerly fjord in North America, on the eastern shore of Howe Sound. The park is a popular destination with scuba divers who explore old sunken ship wrecks, that in return attract an abundant marine life.

Deep Cove, British Columbia, CANADA56 viewsDeep Cove is a one-of-a-kind, quirky place. Nestled by the waters of Indian Arm, at the east end of the North Shore, it is one of the two “villages” of the North Shore, the other being Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver, CANADA.
Deep Cove epitomizes what the North Shore is known for: tranquility, scenic beauty, and a warm cosy atmosphere that makes you want to sit down and stay. Boating, hiking and nature typify this area.

LIFE Museum198 viewsTucked in lush rural hills, Thailand's "AIDS temple" aims to shock people out of their complacency with a macabre display of withered corpses and bones.
I visited this AIDS Hospice as part of our Missions Project at Muaklek.
picture has been cropped, the colors desaturated and framed in PS.
this picture has been taken outside the museum through a glass window (the LIFE museum closed at 3:30pm). taken at 5ish in the afternoon with less lighting inside the musem.

Riverside Hospital Tulips47 viewsThis picture was taken when we visited one of our friends who was recently admitted at Riverview Mental Hospital.
After our 1 hour visit with our friend (who is locked-up in one of the wards) we decided to look around the beautiful campus and we happen to see this beautiful garden of orange tulips in full spring bloom.
we found it ironic how sad and cold it is inside the hospital - yet in the outside - it's all warm and beautiful.
taken at 7:00pm ... just as the orange sun is going down the horizon.

Whytecliff Park105 viewsWhytecliff Park is the westernmost park on the Northshore.
This is a full featured park with a beach, playground, picnic areas and plenty of quiet spots amongst the rocky outcroppings. The views from the edges of the park are spectacular. Bowen Island across Queen Charlotte Channel, stately ferries, engines rumbling, sailing past, sailboats, powerboats, vistas of Vancouver Island, harbour seals sunning themselves and so much more.
